Red Sox make Ellsbury, Drew, Napoli offers

ORLANDO, Fla. — As expected, center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury , shortstop Stephen Drew and first baseman Mike Napoli all declined their one-year, $14.1 million qualifying offers from the Boston Red Sox and are free to test the free-agent market. Those players can still negotiate with the Red Sox, but if they sign with another team that team will forfeit a first-round draft pick (unless it owns one of the first 11 picks) and the Red Sox would get a compensatory pick in next year’s first-year
